Commonly referred to as the “Driver’s Control Box”, the C-2297/VRC functions normally as a crewmember control box, but also contains circuits providing for the control and monitoring of the “Outside Control Box”: C-2296( )/VRC. This also allows the C-2296( )/VRC to be connected to the other vehicle crewmembers and radio equipment via the AM-1780/VRC.
