Six section antenna used when maximum range is required. Each section fits into the end of a wider section. The AT-271A/PRC is a multi-section whip antenna used with the AB-591/PRC to accomidate long range communication for portable radio sets. The tubular sections are held to gether by an internal nylon cord under spring tension, that keeps the sections together when stowed, and seated together when assembled.
